Mestre Canguru


Waldec Vellasco Cota, originally from Macaé, RJ, began his journey through the world of capoeira in 1980, as a student of Mestre Camisa, at the Associação dos Servidores Civis, in Botafogo, RJ.

He was consecrated the title of Mestrando in 2000.

He began giving classes at the Tijuca Tênis Club, in the neighborhood of Tijuca, where he currently lives, and supervises ABADÁ-Capoeira in all of Rio’s North Zone, as well as in Israel.
